Tier 2 applying for permanent leave to remain

Post by pardid » Sun May 10, 2015 9:04 pm

hi,

I came to the UK in 2013 as my husband's dependent (tier 2 general dependent). 1 year after I got a permanent job and visa sponsorship. so I have my own tier 2 general visa from July 2014. when my husband applies for permanent leave to remain after 5 years of being on tier 2 general, can I also apply with him? or should I be 5 years on my own tier 2 visa to be eligible to apply? :(

thanks

Why did you do this? You were free to work for any employer on Tier 2 Dependent visa.

Thank you. we thought it's safer to have two visas and not depending on only his job.

Makes sense I suppose.

You will qualify for ILR then in July 2019.
