Tier 5 Youth Mobility to UK Ancestory

Hi

I am a New Zealand citizen and am currently on a tier 5 which does not expire til march 2016 i am going back to NZ before it expires and i am wondering if i can apply for Ancestory visa beforehand without having to cancel the tier 5.

Yes you can, if you meet all the requirements, although you can only apply from NZ for the UK Ancestry visa and once granted, your Tier 5 will automatically become null and void as you can't hold 2 different visas for the UK.
