URGENT: Biometrics

Hi,
I am applying spouse visa for my wife from Malta. We paid the online fee and got the appointment for tomorrow. Does she need to do Biometrics at the time of appointment? There is no mention of this in the application, but the center doing the application has some sort of Value added service for Biometrics. My question is, is biometrics needed at the time of Spouse visa application?

Yes, it is part of the process to obtain an entry clearance visa.
