Tier 1 General ILR and Family in Pakistan

Post by rubzah » Thu Jul 02, 2015 10:27 am

Hi,

My friend came to UK on Tier 1 General migrant visa. He got his ILR last year.

His wife and two children are still in Pakistan, and he wants to bring them here as his spouse and child dependents.

The few question he is facing now are,

1. Should he apply their entry clearance as spouse and children of person present and settled in UK and fulfill the £18600 requirement etc

OR

2. He should apply their entry clearance as Spouse and dependents of Tier 1 General Migrant and show the maintenance fund of £860 for each dependent.

3. Now a days everyone communicates on Skype, WhatsApp and Viber so there is no formal record pf phone conversation etc.

4. He got married in 1993, when there was NO NADRA. Therefore, he has old marriage certificate. Does he needs to get a new one before applying for dependent's entry clearance.

5. He is living in a shared accommodation at the moment, and will move to a new house as a tenant before the family arrives in UK (subject to entry clearance). He will reserve the house before application of entry clearance of family. Will that be OK.

6. If the family applies as dependent of Tier 1 General migrant, can he shows the mix saving of his wife in Pakistan and himself in UK to satisfy the requirement.

7. Can he call his 2 elder children only and then once these two children are here then apply for his remaining two children and his wife?

I will be rally appreciate if any one advise on all the above mentioned.

1. Has your friends wife and children ever been in the UK as his Tier 1G Dependents?
If the answer is no, then they can only apply as dependents of a person settled, i.e. spouse/child visa on VAF4A. For a spouse and 4 children, the financial requirement is £27,200pa and each person applying will have to pay the IHS Surcharge (Click) upfront before applying and it is £600 per person on top of the visa application fee.

How old are the 'elder children'?
