Can I claim DLA for my son?

Post by Abhi1ax » Thu Nov 26, 2015 12:38 am

Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum and I am looking for someone
Advise in relation to DLA. My son is a british
Citizen. He was born in 2012. He is on undergoing
treatment since born. We visit hospital quite
often for his treatment. One of the paediatric
nurse advised us if we could get DLA.
I and my husband have got ILR since 2011.
Last week I sent claim pack to the DLA Office.
Here is the things...We have made an application for naturalisation in August 2015 We have been awaiting HO decision to
come so my concern is now am I entitled to claim DLA for my son? Should I be worried about our application which been to HO? Will DLA be affecting to our application?
I would be thankful if someone could advise me.

If you hold ILR, you are entitled to claim benefits that you qualify for. It should have no effect on your naturalisation application.
