Tier 2 Dependent Visa Application

Post by saqi2cool » Sun Nov 29, 2015 6:15 pm

Hello Experts,

I am on Tier 2 General Visa with BRP valid till Jan, 2018. Now preparing visa application for my wife as a dependent. Our Nikkah was done in Oct, 2015 and Rukhsati will be in Feb/March.

Need your guidance on the following

1)Visa Type:
The online application gives the following options, just wanted to confirm if I am doing it right
Reason for visit: Work
Visa Type: Tier 2 (GENERAL) visa
Visa Sub Type: General Partner, up to 3 years

p.s. in the "visa type" drop down, there is no mention of "PBS" in the online application, so I hv selected "Tier 2 (GENERAL) visa".... is this correct?

2) How long do you intend to stay in the UK?
This tab demands a date to be inserted. Should it be the expiry date of my BRP card?

3) What is the end date of the job or course?
What should I put in as the end date of my job as I am on a permanent position with my sponsor. Should it be the BRP expiry date?

4) Does your spouse / partner currently live with you?
Since the ruksati is due, how do I answer this question? Should I present this case as if rukhsati has also been done?
If I answer No to this question, I am asked to provide the permanent address which is of Pakistan, however, now i m settled in the uk and renting a property. Please advise what is appropriate to state here.

5) Have there been any recent changes for English language requirements for Tier 2 dependents?

Thank you all in advance

Thanks iworker... Gracious !!

Any comment on the 5th question about English requirement changes?

and one more thing

I am living at my friend's home here which is owned by his father. There is no formal agreement. My friend said he can print it off. Does it have to be authenticated/stamped? How can I meet this requirement?

Hi Experts,
Can anybody confirm what is the "PBS Tier 2 General Partner 3 years visa fee from Pakistan" ?
I made an online application and the amount it states is around 95880 PKR, however, when I checked it online it shows as follows

Tier 2 General shortage occupation sponsored for up to three years: applicant & dependants: 72760 PKR
Dependant of current work permit holder: 55080 PKR

Can anybody pls guide on this?

Visa Application fees
1. Pakistan
2. Work
3. Tier 2
4. The first option in the list.

Dear sushdmehta,
Thank you very much for your reply. I need some more assistance if you or any other experts are willing to help.

Using the information you provided, the home office website says that i need to pay RS 95880 for "Tier 2 General, ICT long term staff, sport & MoR sponsored for up to three years: applicant & dependants" and this is the same amount I am getting on my visa application page, HOWEVER, this is not the category under which I have applied for.

I switched from a Tier 4 General Visa to Tier 2 General Visa last year having a validity of 3 years. I am applying for my wife as a depended with the following information

Reason for visit: Work
Visa Type: Tier 2 (General)
Visa Sub Type: General Partner, up to 3 years

For the type of visa I am applying, shouldnt it fall under "Tier 2 General shortage occupation sponsored for up to three years: applicant & dependants" with fees Rs 72760 as per the home office website?

Your help is much appreciated.

Regards

Dear CR001,

Sorry, I know I am being very naive and might be interpreting it wrong.

My BRP reads "Tier 2 (General)" LEAVE TO REMAIN and the Home office letter says Tier 2 (General) PBS

So do you mean the "Tier 2 General, ICT long term staff, sport & MoR sponsored for up to three years: applicant & dependants" is the right one with the feesRs 95880 ?

I just want to make sure that I am doing it right.

Many Many thanks in advance.

Yes, why wouldn't it be. Why do you think it should be the shortage occupation option?

Hi CR001... I was just being dumb :?

For some reason, I have been believing that ""Tier 2 General, ICT long term staff, sport & MoR sponsored for up to three years" is a single visa category. Your replies made me read it correctly. Thanks you :)
