Change of Sponsor effect on ILR

Post by immquestion » Wed Dec 23, 2015 5:54 pm

Hi all,

I have recently been made redundant in my company that used to sponsor me under a Tier2 visa.
18 days after the end of employment, I did sign a contrat with a new employer who is willing to sponsor me.

I have been working with my previous employer for 3.5 years (3 years with Tier2 passport stamp, 6 months with BRP) which means that I was 1.5 years far from the ILR.

Would anyone know if I only need to complete the previously started 5 years (so just 1.5 years left) for the ILR, or if I have to start again from 0 a new period of 5 years?

Thanks

You can combine the time of the two Tier 2 G visas.
Char (CR001 not Casa)
