Can I change my company in UK on Tier 2 ICT Short Term Visa?

Hi,

I am currently in UK on Tier 2 ICT short term visa. I came to UK in September 2015, but now the company is asking me to go back to India because they want to replace me with some other guys who are the management's favourites.

Is it possible for me to look for another job in another UK company legally while I am still here in UK? My current visa is still valid till 18th September 2016. I don't like the politics happening in my company in India, I wish to stay here in UK for some more time and earn some money.

You cannot switch to Tier 2 General within the UK.

You have to serve a 12 month cooling off period outside the UK before you can apply for a Tier 2 General visa if you get a sponsor on the approved sponsor list.
