Question - Spouse Visa App - Pakistan, Islamabad

Post by kaykay83 » Mon Mar 21, 2016 7:20 pm

Hi,

I am looking for some help in submitting my wife's settlement visa application from Islamabad, Pakistan.

She has submitted the online application today (21st March) - as per the email she received it says that she will require to post the supporting document to Sheffield, UK. Her appointment is on 23rd March for submitting online application and bio-metrics.

People who have gone through this, can you please share which documents they will collect on the day of appointment and which needs to be posted to Sheffield?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Regards,
Khalid

Many thanks for the links. I was looking for the same information although I found it at gov.uk as well but this article was more helpful. Wish I had gone through this document 3-4 months earlier :-)

The link at gov.uk for anyone else interested on which documents to send;

https://www.gov.uk/government/world-loc ... n-pakistan

Since I've already sent the documents to my wife in Pak, I guess the best option would be to ask her to post the documents from Pakistan to Sheffield,UK instead of sending me first and then I forwarding to HO. Hope that is the right approach?

Thanks,
Khalid

Doesn't matter whether you send the documents or your wife although the point of changing the submission location was to make it easier for the UK sponsor to send the documents to a UK address.

Also if you don't have all the documents you think would help your case you can submit more than once. For example once I had sent all the documents to Sheffield I realised I had not provided a property report from an independent third party demonstrating my house was fit for purpose. I had a survey done and then sent a second package of documents for the ECO to review. Just make sure your application reference is on all your documents and on the package you send.

So you submitted additional documents after the first submission? Did you receive a second confirmation for the new documents you sent? Are you still waiting approval for your visa?

I'm waiting for additional documents but if I can send all that I have now and then send the new documents at a later date that would be great.... :D

Yes I submitted a second batch of documents after the initial submission. No I didn't receive any confirmation of the second set of documents. However I did receive back all my documents so assume that the ECO did review them all. I made sure I wrote a covering letter detailing what I had sent and why.

No my wife's visa was granted beginning of March.

HI there,

I have read all guidelines posted above but i am still confuse what docouments i would need from Pakistan to send them to shieffeild from uk and what document i should need to send to Pakistan. Do we need to send the passports of applicants to sheifeild or they need to submit it to islamabad?

If i apply online and then print the form then who will sign it on behalf of applicant and what document would be needed for her to submit her and kids passport and biometric done at Islamabad?
