Tier 2 ICT Short Term to other Visa Category

Post by vsk1 » Thu Mar 31, 2016 8:26 pm

Hi,

I am currently holding Tier 2 ICT Short term visa and am working in UK. I came in June 2015 and my visa is valid for 3 more months.
I recently got a job offer where employer is willing to provide a Visa and it is on permanent basis.
Is there chance for me to switch the job immediately to remain in UK.
Is there any cooling off period for me? Recently I heard there is no cooling off period?
Please suggest? do I need to go back to my home country and serve cooling off period and then apply for the Visa?
what Visa do I need if wanted for a long term? As the job offer that I have received is on permanent basis. I do not want to lose it. What are the options for me. Please suggest. What Visa type will get me stay here?

Thank you so much in advance.

You have to apply from home country for Tier 2 General.

12 month cooling off period applies and it starts from the date you leave the UK.

Unless you have a partner on their own Tier 2 General visa, on ILR or who is British, there is no other visa you can apply for than the one I mention above.
