Post by lisa jane » Fri May 13, 2016 12:18 am

I need an advice! I came to uk on a 6months visa and overstayed, I have met my fiancée 2yrs ago and been living together for 7months and I have recently applied to regularise my stay on family ties but I got rejected and asked to appeal from my country but my circumstances have change while my application was with the HO, my brother got killed back home for his political opinion n I spoke against the killing by condemning it and my life is in danger returning back and my solicitor advice my to apply asylum! I have all the evident of the news on dailymail n Reuters! What re my chances

It seems a late and somewhat tenuous claim.
On what grounds is it based?
What evidence do you have of (risk of) persecution, lack of protection from home country authorities and danger to person in all parts of home country?

My evidence is base on the interview I had with an online radio condemning the killing, I have speak against the present regime on Facebook and attended demonstrations at Downing Street! Lack of protection form the government! They recently arrested my mum to scare me off! I won't have no protect from any part of my country besides its an election year the president has threatening the opposition by arresting the opposition leaders for demonstrating for electrol reforms!

Online radio, Facebook and a demo, perhaps if you are so committed you should return and fight these opressors.

Seems fairly safe;

My advice is to stay low and avoid being politically outspoken when you return.

Good luck anyway.

Is this the same as 'The Gambia' I hear BC people often refer to as great place to go on holiday (and also featured in the sham wedding show on Channel 4 recently)?
