Can I naturalise as divorced with ROR

Post by dinushka » Tue Mar 29, 2016 4:09 pm

dear members, I read all these 4 pages and got confused, it might be because I'm not good for technical things. That's why I simply write down my case to you people. Before ask my simple questions.

1) Came in UK first time in Oct 2009, as a EEA-family member (as a spouse)
2) Got 5 Resident Permit in April 2011
3) Got divorced and got RoR in April 2013
4) Got Permanent Resident Card on my passport (dated March 2015)
5) here is my question . Am I eligible to apply for British Citizenship/Naturalization ???

Do I still need to ask to SAR about my eligibility date to apply for Citizenship/Naturalization?

I'm sorry that I might be asking your help in a silly way :(

Hi,
could somebody tell me please that what does it mean by
SECTION 9 Joint applications
• Marriage or civil partnership certificate
The very last page of AN form.

I was married with EEA national, got divorced before getting PR. Got married again.

1st Question) Do I have to attach my previous Marriage Certificate? or Divorce Certificate? or nothing?

2nd Question) Do I have to attach my recent marriage certificate?

Note: I'm applying the Citizenship for myself, after getting PR through EEA-family member route.

I hope, I will get the help regarding my questions.

To avoid confusion & jumbled responses, I have moved your question to its own thread (this one).

1. No, as you are not married to an EU citizen.

2. Is your current spouse British? If you are applying for citizenship on your own based on 5 years residence, marriage cert is not required. The section of the form your are quoting are for spouses submitting applications at the same time, i.e. JOINT applications.
