Can someone help me on my Change of Employer Query

Currently i'm employed with XXXX employer and my Tier 2 General Visa is employed till July 2018.My current visa was extended couple of month back.

Now I have found a new job and the employer is ready to sponsor my visa but then they are asking me to take ILETS exam.Do i really need to take IELTS exam to get my new sponsor?

Do i really need to write an IELTS exam to get a sponsor from a employer? Visa provider says the rules have changed this April, as i have only a bachelor degree from India, i would need to go for an IELTS exam.

I am in the same situation . Kindly let us know whether IELTS / NARSIC approval is required for incountry Tier2 General , Change of Sponsors
