From the passport guidance:LondonStrawberry wrote:Hi,
I applied for my first British passport last week and today I received a letter from HMPO that I need to fill in the section4 (parents details). I am naturalised then why I need to fill in the that section of the form? I used PO check and send service they also did not ask me to fill in that section.
Before applying for my first passport I called HMPO to confirm whether I need to fill in section 4 or not they advised that I do not need to fill in that section. and now they sent me the letter that I need to fill in that section.
Can someone please advice? thank you

It is grandparents' details that don't matter so much for naturalised applicants.Section 4
You need to fill in this section if:
- you are applying for your first adult passport

It's not a biggie. Just supply the information. It will give something to talk about at the passport interview.
You previously asked about grandparent details per the link below and NOT about parents.Same was advised in this forum as well.

You DO NOT need to fill in grandparent details.
This is the same information and advice we give to all members who ask this question.
