ceremony invitation letter from local authority

Post by poyab1983 » Thu May 26, 2016 7:15 pm

Hi

i have received today a citizenship ceremony invitation from my local authority asking me to attend a citizenship ceremony in 2 weeks time .
The have advised to bring with me the letter from the home office titled : CITIZENSHIP INVITATION
The reason i m writting here is because i have not yet received any approval or citizenship invitation letter from the home office .
Has anyone come across this situation before ? what is the right attitude to adopt ?
In the local authority letter they have advised to email the home office if i have not received any invitation letter from the home office , which i did .

Maybe it is still in the post? Maybe it arrived but you have missed it (little brown envelope that looks like a bill)?

Some councils issues letter with a set date. Others send a letter and you can contact to book. It varies.

Some letters are from and are combined approval and ceremony invitation letter in one.

Hi,
I had similar issue. I email HO citizenship.support@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk , HO issued me new letter and I received it in 5-6 working days.

Thanks
