BC Child born and living abroad - benefits?

Post by Nicky10 » Sun May 29, 2016 11:35 am

Hi guys... I need your help... I have three questions:

1) I am a British citizen (naturalised) living in Georgia, expecting a child, and will my child be automatically a British citizen?
2) Secondly, will my child be eligible to any benefits of the British Government if my child is born and living in Georgia?
3) Finally, If I move to the UK, then, will my child be eligible to any British Government benefits?

Thanks guys

2) Secondly, will my child be eligible to any benefits of the British Government if my child is born and living in Georgia?Children don't claim benefits, parent(s) do. But no, you can't claim UK benefits if you are not living in the UK.

3) Finally, If I move to the UK, then, will my child be eligible to any British Government benefits? Parent(s) claim NOT children. You would have to claim in your name. Will your child also move to the UK? What about the other parent?

Thanks guys
