ICT Dependent and PR

Post by sajipg » Tue May 31, 2016 12:27 pm

Hi,

Could you please help me with the answers for the following?

I came to UK in Jan 2015 as ICT short term dependent with my wife, and in Jan 2016 we chnaged that to ICT longterm.

Can we stay 5 years in UK with ICT long term alone and then add the previous one year from ICT shortterm to get the eligibility for PR?

If its not possible, Can I change my visa to Tier2General and and later apply for PR after 5 years (counting my years of stay as ICT short term and Long term dependent)?

Regards,
Sajipg

Tier 2 ICT visa DOES NOT lead to ILR / Settlement. So it makes no difference as it is irrelevant.

You/partner can apply for Tier 2 General if you qualify and get a sponsor. You/partner have to apply from home country. Whoever is the main ICT visa holder, will be subject to a 12 month cooling off period before being able to apply for Tier 2 General as main visa holder.
