Fiance Visa Accommodation

Post by b0d » Wed Jun 01, 2016 9:53 am

Hi

There was a missed mortgage payment on the property I live in that is owned by my family, I am a lodger in this property.

The missed payment was the end of last year/early this year. My name is not on the mortgage.

I just wanted to know if this (missed mortgage payment) may cause a problem for the ECO in regards to suitable accommodation. I am guessing the ECO will be none the wiser to this issue.

This property will be used as accommodation to support the application of a fiance visa for my partner.

Many thanks.

This won't be an issue. The ECO will want to see a copy of the mortgage agreement as proof of ownership, but won't require a statement of payments.

UK BA Documents Accommodation and Financial

Post by b0d » Wed Jun 01, 2016 11:02 am

For the benefit of all here are two links to official documents outlining requirements mentioned in the subject heading.

These files may not be up to date so best check their relevance.

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... nnex_F.pdf

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... rement.pdf

Sorry if these are listed somewhere else and I have missed them. I dont understand why there is not a sticky thread where these documents are available as the creator of these offical documents appear to obscure access to them. Many posts could be avoided if people had easier access to these documents.

PS can anyone pass me a link to show me how I can avoid getting a headache going through these documents, thanks.

The UKBA was disbanded in March 2013 and superseded by the UKVI.
