referees

Hello everybody
My husband will be applying for his British citzenship soon.
My 2nd cousin is a nurse can she be a referee if not can a union rep at his work place be a referee.

A family member from either your side or your husband's side cannot be a referee.

Trade Union official can be a referee provided he has actually known your husband for at least 3 years.

He has known him for 4 years.
He is a union rep not a officer.
So if he puts him down he will be ok

I'm just a little confused please forgive me.
So it's ok to use a union repetsenative as a reference.
He is not a officer and he has known my husband personally for 4 years

Is there no other person who can act as professional referee? Manager, HR manager, Religious Minister, etc.

He works in a warehouse and the only professional people he knows are the union rep. He does have a manager on the night shift.

These requirements are well-known, surely you participate in the community to some degree and have some contacts.

What about your optician, dentist, pharmacist, post office official, bank official, even a local corner store selling liquor (personal licensee holder)?
