Work as Dentist or Hygienist on Tier 2 Dependent Visa

Hello All,

I am the main applicant on Tier 2 General (sponsored by my current company) and my wife is with me on dependent visa.

She is a qualified Dentist from India and she has recently cleared ORE part 2. So she can now register with GDC.

But what kind of jobs she can do on Tier 2 dependent visa? I called Home Office and they told me that she cannot even work as a Hygienist. One option is to find a job where can get sponsorship. But does she need sponsorship to start the VTE (Vocational Training Equivalence)?

I really appreciate any help on this matter as the rules are not easy to understand and there is no clear guidance.
