Switching from TIER 2 ICT Dep

Post by sup11 » Thu Jun 09, 2016 9:51 am

Hi ,
I am an Indian citizen currently on an tier 2 - ICT (spouse/dependent) visa working in UK. Since my husband's visa is due to expire I wanted to know whether
*I can switch to a tier 2 - general visa from the UK itself ?
If I need to leave the UK to apply, do I need to submit my application from India itself or any where else is fine

* Is the cooling off period applicable to me ?
Please let me know

Thanks!

I have split your post to its own topic as it is considered rude to tag questions onto other members threads.

Yes, but you have to apply from home country and the full and proper RLMT process has to be completed by your sponsor.
* Is the cooling off period applicable to me ?
No, not if you are on a dependent visa.

Thank you, I am not that familiar using the forum and never intended to tag onto another person's post. I felt that since my situation is a bit similar I could add my query to the existing set. :( Appreciate your quick response
