which visa for wife of ILR dependent?

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your time looking into my request.

I am having ILR. My wife( currently in India, never been to UK before) to join me permanently in UK I am suggested to apply for SETTLEMENT visa.

I am applying for it now. Is the below options correct:
Reason of Visit; Settlement
Visa Type: Settlement
Visa sub type: Wife (OR will it be civil partnership???)

Also she has never been to UK so is SETTLEMENT visa right for her, what is entry clearance, is this another kind of visa?

You have selected correctly yes. It is a settlement visa and she is applying for an entry clearance visa under the settlement category. She is your wife. A civil partnership refers to same sex marriages.

Don't forget to pay the immigration health surcharge of £600.

Entry clearance visa = applied from abroad

Leave to remain visa = applied for within the UK
