Claiming Child Benefit after ILR but wife still Tier 1 Depen

Post by cvs » Wed Jun 15, 2016 11:53 am

Hi,
Situation:
My ILR granted a month back, also my wife Visa extended for 3 Years as a Tier 1 General dependant. We have a 10 months baby. I'm planing to apply MN1 for my baby for registering as BC.

Question 1: Can i claim Child Benefits to my baby ? Worrying because my wife still not allowed for public funds. So can we apply for Child Benefits?

Question 2: My wife doesn't have any income (house wife) but i'm earning about £35k/year. Any other Benefits we can claim in my situation ?

Please help me!.

i'm thankful for this forum. because of this forum i benefited to solve lot of my issues about 5 years.

1. Yes, claim child benefit in YOUR name only.

2. Unlikely you will qualify for any other benefits as your salary is quite high.
