Hi

I would like to thank first for helping me out during ILr application ,the help i got from the forum really helpful.

today I need some more guidance please regarding Visit visa.

I am planning to invite my cousin to visit Uk for the summers from Pakistan.

i have checked the general requirements at the GOV website but i need more detailed information,

Firstly i need advise for which period we shall apply 6 months ,2 years and 5 years.the reason why I am asking this is she loves to travel abroard and she can come freqeuent for short periods over the year as she has a full time job amf family back in pakistan .we are applying for the first time .
So shall we apply for 6 months visa first time or the 2 year visa so that she can visit any time.
we really dont want the application to be rejected .

so please advise.........

secondly about the accomodation .She will be livving with me when she comes so what documents shall i show as i live in a mortgaged house in my husbands name?????

No more than a 6 months will be granted on the first application. In order for a visitor visa application to succeed your cousin will have to submit evidence of strong ties to her home country in order to convince the ECO that she won't overstay in the UK.
Submit a copy of the mortgage agreement to prove available accommodation.

I was going through the Gov website and it says that I have to show my strong bonding to the the visiter ,how can I do that ??

She is actually my very dear friend we are not actually related as family ,how can i show my bonding to her ?

Is possible can you provide a list of thing/documents which I shall submit from my side and documents that shows her strong bonding to go back Pakistan.

She is working as a senior banker for past 15 years and has a very sound financial status there.

I will really appreciate if I can get a draft of the sponsor letter that I have to prepare .

Where does it state you have to show 'your strong bonding' with someone who wants to visit the UK??

I apologise for writing that as we are really close friends so I consider as my cousin.

I have been searching on a lot of sites yesterday so I mistakenly thought I read on that site. It isn't there it might be on another page but I don't remember which webpage now .

The secret to getting a visit visa is to show the visitor will go home.

So they need to show ties to the home country: family, work, study, property, etc.

Can anyone please guide me if we are applying online for the visa do we just print that application and take it to the appointment for the submission of documents? Or we fill the VAF1a application aswell
