[Urgent] Query about UK visitor Visa

Post by rs25rs » Mon Jun 20, 2016 5:06 am

Hi,

I am a resident of India & applying for UK Visa and have scheduled an interview during 1st week of July. I quit my job in April last week and thus mentioned as not employed in the UK application form.
My question is that do I have to show my relieving letter as a proof while submitting documents or is it not required at all (since I mentioned myself as unemployed)?

Also, if I show my past 6 months bank statement, then that will contain salary credit for my company. Will there is any questions raised because of that?

Thanks for your help.

What evidence of strong ties to your home country did you provide if you are not employed?
Char (CR001 not Casa)

Let me rephrase it again.
Me & my wife are visiting UK to meet my brother. I am working in a well know company and I have procured NOC from my company stating that I will join it back. So this is a tie to my home country.
However, the question was raised for my wife - She quit the job.

Then your wife should provide alternative evidence showing her ties to her home country. Employment is just one example.

Yes. But if I am employed and have ties to my home country, will the same not work for my wife as well?

My question here is that, do I have to show her relieving letter as a proof while submitting documents or is it not required at all (since I mentioned my wife as unemployed)?

Its unclear what you mean by 'her relieving letter' here, if you mean it's her resignation confirmation then that is not something that would be relevant for this application, as there is no requirement to show evidence that she is unemployed. Unless you mean she too will be resuming her employment after this visit and that letter explains this?

What I understood is that your wife is now unemployed and therefore would need to provide alternative evidence showing her ties to convince an ECO that she will return at the end of her visit.

As per my understanding each of you should provide evidence to convince the ECO that you will return at the end of your visit, as it will be two separate applications - even though you will be applying/travelling/returning at the same time and may want to include a statement to that effect.
