I'm a US Citizen who's been working in the UK since January 1994 (U.S. Passport Holder), I always applied for Leave to Remain which is renewed every four years, I'm now in the position to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (My former job won't allow me otherwise).
My mother was born in the UK in October 1918, and moved to the U.S. around 1922, she married my U.S. Citizen father around 1942. I was born in May 1951 (I'm now 65).
My mother's parents were both born in the UK and moved to the U.S. around 1922, they became U.S. Citizen's sometime around 1940.
My father parents were both born in the UK moved to the U.S. (dates unknown), my grandfather died young, my grandmother never became a U.S. Citizen (now passed away).
So can I just apply for UK citizenship or apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain and then apply for UK Citizenship.
