Tier 2 (General) to FLR(M) Unmarried Partner

Post by sarabhg » Tue Jul 05, 2016 11:06 am

I am switching from a Tier 2 to a FLR(M)
My partner has 3 children who are British citizens: 12, 17, and 20 the younger two live with the ex-wife to whom he pays maintenance and child-support.
In our application, do we need to include all three children, their passport information and birth certificates?
Also, since I currently make over the minimum income, we were just going to use my finances in the application. Will this be sufficient?

Thanks in advance for any help and/or guidance!

Yes, if your partner has responsibility for children.
Also, since I currently make over the minimum income, we were just going to use my finances in the application. Will this be sufficient?
Yes, should be fine. 6 months payslips and 6 months bank statements.

Assuming you have been living with your partner for at least 2 years and have the cohabitation documentation to prove this for the 2 year period.

You are aware that your clock towards ILR will be reset to zero and you will be on a new 5 year (2 x 2.5 year visas) route on FLR(M) before qualifying for ILR.
