Can I still extend my Tier-2 G, If i have been in uk >6

Hi,

I entered to UK on 01/01/2011 with Tire 4, After completing my masters I was issued with 2 years post study work permit.

Before one month before expire of my post study work permit, I applied for Tire 2 general using certificate of sponsorship, And I was granted 3 years visa.

My Tire 2 General visa will expire on March 2017. which mean I will be in UK for total of 6 years and 3 months.

Tire 2 General guidance states "You can apply to extend your visa for up to another 5 years, as long as your total stay is not more than 6 years."

I was wondering if I am still qualify to apply for anther 2 or 3 years visa under Tire 2. If not what is the alternative way that i can extend my stay.

The 6 year cap applies to Tier 2 General time ONLY. It is not your total stay in the UK with different visas.

You can extend your current visa up to 6 years.
