New Born - Passport Query

Post by kvnvj » Sun Jul 24, 2016 1:08 pm

Dear All,

I am a British citizen (naturalised since March, 2016) and my wife has ILR from 2014. We are travelling in 7 weeks to India and wanted to know if I could apply for his British Passport straight away?

Or would I have to apply for naturalisation? and then apply for passport?

Thanking you all in advance :)

When was the child born? Before ILR / BC or after?

The child was born 4 days back. 3 months after I got British citizenship and close to 20 months after my wife got ILR

Apply for Passport directly with your evidence of BC. You can use the 1 week fast track service.
