Tier 2 dependant wife to work in a different city !!

Hi All,

My wife who is a tier 2 dependent has got a job in a different city and will be moving there. Her address will change as a result. I will visit her on the weekends. Do I need to inform UKVI about her address change using the change of circumstances form?

My next visa application will be for ILR. Her name is still there on the current house we are renting. And it will stay as it is.
We wont be changing her bank address as well and it will stay as it is.

What co-habitation documents will we have to submit?

6 pieces of correspondence in joint names at the same address from 3 different sources, spread as evenly as possible throughout the full qualifying period.
Will you be applying for ILR after 5 years or under Long Residence?

So I have my current Council tax letter. The bills are in both of our names. So i will have plenty of bills in her name over the course of 2 years (I will apply for ILR in April 2018), Also I have my rent agreement with the landlord, which I will keep extending with her name on it.

Will you be using joint income when you submit your wife's ILR application?

I will just use my own income. Not sure what you mean by joint income?

Shes is working as a Tier 2 dependant so not sure if I will have to show that she is working as well?

Do you think these documents will be enough?

Is she in some specialised field that she needs to move away to find work?

Its 2 and a half hours away (motorway driving) from my place of work. Most probably she will be coming down to my place over the weekends. We are going to keep all the address for documentation for her here where I live. She might even get work from home.

Hi All,

After doing a little bit of more reading, I have got some questions.

I will be eligible for ILR in April 2018 (Tier 2, 5 year route) and will apply for it. I will be applying using SET(O) form (is this correct?).

My wife is on Tier 2 dependant (valid until April 2019).

However I understand my wife cant apply same time as me. Can she stay as Tier 2 dependant until April 2019. Can she extend her stay on the same Visa?

If not, will she have to apply for a ILR dependant using a different form. What form is that?

If she can and does apply for the ILR dependant will the clock for her ILR be reset?

We'll just extend her stay on Tier 2 dependent itself.
Much reasonable than applying through FLR and resetting the clock.

I'd like to thank you and all the other mods who have been helping me other people with immigration questions.

I read your replies to this post "http://www.immigrationboards.com/immigr ... 90992.html" where the persons visa was curtailed.

It scared me how UKVI can be so incompetent, but yours and other mods replies helped her and others a lot.
