Sweden visa

Post by Jatpunjabi » Mon Jul 25, 2016 5:16 pm

Hi
A friend of mine needs to bring her mother to Sweden as his wife is pregnant and he has 2 other little ones. It would be extremely difficult to look after the kids just by themselves as he is employed full time. I understand that they need to apply for family visitor visa from Pakistan for his mother. Could you please confirm that this is correct?
As per requirement the applicant needs to have a clean criminal record which is fine but
Someone has told us that the applicant's siblings also need to provide their criminal records and their Pakistani ID cards would be needed for that purpose. Now this would be such a hassle and extra work. Anyway have you guys heard of this? The reason I am asking is that it sounds very strange and I have never heard of such a thing ever. What has siblings got to do with anyone's application?
Just to clarify not that any of them have criminal records it's just curiosity! :P I have looked everywhere on the form and can't find this.
