Post by Sudhirdige79 » Tue Jul 26, 2016 7:06 pm

Hi everybody,

Does one need to be in their home country to apply for fiance visa? My fiance is Indonesian citizen but can she apply for fiance visa from India which is my home country (I am naturalised British citizen)? I really appreciate your help.Thank you.

She can only submit her application in a country in which she is legally resident...not as a visitor.
(Casa, not CR001)
Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Casa and Wanderer are both correct.

You cannot apply for a fiance visa in a country where you are a visitor.
Char (CR001 not Casa)
