Fiance visa, Help!

Post by Faranas » Sat Jul 30, 2016 1:38 am

Hi,

We are currently planning to apply for a fiance visa, the country I'll be applying from is Guyana- South America. Do any of you know if there is an interview when I go for my appointment? Also, what about our declaration letters? have the rules on that changed and do we have to be very detailed in it?

At the moment I am in the UK, I'll be going back to my country to apply next week, a year ago I came to the UK on a 6 month student visa, the last month we wanted to know if we could apply from within the UK and were sadly misinformed about this and went ahead an applied for Indefinite leave to remain this took 6 months to decide but unfortunately this was refused because I was on the wrong visa in the first place..

should I be covering all of this in my declaration letter? I know they have it on file at the Home Office so I don't want them to think I am hiding something. Just don't know how to approach it in the letter!

Please help, we are in a hurry and any advice would be appreciated!
