ILR 10 Year Long Residence Route - Dependents Status

Post by ketannamaste » Mon Aug 08, 2016 5:11 pm

Hi
Reading scenarios and some others, it seems ILR PBS ROUTE IS BETTER than long residence.

I qualify for ILR through long residence in Sep 2016 and through PBS route in March 2017.

PBS route is the route i will be going for.
Now, My wife came in UK as Tier 2 PBS Dependent Visa in March 2015. We both applied for extension which granted and expires in Aug 2018.

my questions are now is once i have ILR in March through PBS route:
1. Would she have any issue leaving and entering the UK on her existing leave to remain?

2. what category under she applies once her existing leave to remain (Tier 2 PBS Dependent Visa) expires in 2018 as i will be British citizen by then?

No, her visa will still be valid.
2. what category under she applies once her existing leave to remain (Tier 2 PBS Dependent Visa) expires in 2018 as i will be British citizen by then
She can continue to extend her current PBS dep visa until she qualifies for ILR, provided you apply for ILR based on Tier 2 G.
