Switching from Tier 2 ICT visa into a Tier 2 General visa

Hi there,

I am currently on Tier 2 Long Term . Below are the detail of the Visa I have held and currently holding :

1.I first came to UK on a Tier 2 ICT Short Term Visa Staff Migrant From June 2011 to June 2012 . Then I went back to India and applied for Tier 2 ICT Long Term Visa ,
2.The second time I came to the UK on a Tier 2 ICT Long Term Visa Staff Migrant was in July 2012. This visa was valid till June 2014
3. In June 2014 I got my Visa renewed for one year and got a Tier 2 ICT Long Term Leave to Remain - Valid till July 2015
4. Then in June 2015 I got my Visa renewed for two years and got a Tier 2 ICT Long Term Leave to Remain Valid till June 2017

A UK Bases company is ready to offer me a Job and sponsor my Tier 2 General Visa. Can you please confirm

1) If I can switch within UK
2) If not, is there any cooling period before I can apply from India
3) If you can please guide me to any policy document reference

2007 - 2008 workpermit ( intra company transfer)
2008 - 2009 workpermit ( intra company transfer)
2013 start - mid of 2013 - Tier2 ict short term
2013 end - end of 2016 - tier2 ict long term

i would like to know can i apply for tier2 general( switch) while i am UK - now.

Is it possible to clairfy? Many thanks in advnace.

No, you are also subject to the 12 month cooling off period and have to apply for Tier 2 G from your home country.

As far as I understand, you cannot. You have to serve the 12 months cooling off period before you can apply for Tier 2 G from outside the UK.

if i get new sponser to switch can i apply for tier2 ICT long term from here -UK with the new sponsership. currently i am on tier2 ict long term here.

You cannot 'switch' employers to another Tier 2 ICT. The requirement for ICT is that you must have worked for the company in your home country for 12 months.
