UK spouse visa -return of original supporting docs

Post by John Green » Tue Aug 09, 2016 4:27 pm

Once the UKVI has made a decision on a spousal visa application, do they then return to the applicant all the original supporting documents they were given? And how is this achieved?

Yes. Probably by post or with the outcome/decision/passport if submitted abroad.

Cheers. As the applicant lives in Moldova, as you know by now, they should be returned there. What surprises me is the in the case of a visa rejection, would not UKVI want to keep a copy of the supporting documents? In case of an appeal, so they can look back as to how the original decision was arrived at?

You've asked what happens to the original documents...not whether the CW will make copies. :|

Can we please not have another one of your topics become a 'hypothetical' analysis and discussion of HO processes or what might or might not happen. If the application has been submitted, be patient and wait for the outcome.

As Casa said, yous asked a question and I answered what you asked.

OK, they will make copies. No problem.
