Questions on application for FLR(M)

Post by LMMW » Wed Aug 10, 2016 11:16 pm

Dear All,

I'm currently on Tier 2 visa, I'm hoping to apply for FLR(M) as soon as I get married in the UK, as I would like to change my job ASAP. I have a few questions regarding the requirements hope someone can help me with.

1) Is there a time requirement for how long you have to be married? Can I apply for FLR(M) soon after the marriage certificate is issued?

2) Would it be sufficient to just have my salary as proof of finance requirement if my salary is over £18,600?

3) My partner is currently looking for a job, would it be a problem if he doesn't have a job at the time of my application even if my salary meets the requirement?

Many thanks for your help!

No, there is not set time frame.
2) Would it be sufficient to just have my salary as proof of finance requirement if my salary is over £18,600?

Yes, 6 months payslips, 6 months bank statements, letter from employer, etc.
3) My partner is currently looking for a job, would it be a problem if he doesn't have a job at the time of my application even if my salary meets the requirement?

No, should not be an issue as long as you meet the requirements.
