Sheffield Address to send supporting documents by sponsor

Post by Saadat_Irfan » Fri Aug 19, 2016 12:48 pm

Hello,

I submitted my wife's supporting documents on Monday this week through special next day signed for delivery to reach on Tuesday. The address I used is:

UK Visas and Immigration International
Po Box 5852
SHEFFIELD
S11 0FX

which is found here:

https://www.gov.uk/government/world-loc ... n-pakistan

specifically for applications from Pakistan.

Today I have received all my documents returned to me without any update in them and by using the pre-paid envelope I supplied with my application pack.

I am really confused why that is. I believe I have used the correct address but have a feeling the receiver didn't like the documents and simply refused to accept and send them back to me.

Now I am in a bit of a trouble as I have already wasted a whole week and some of my documents are dated 21st July (just within 28 day window period) so anyone please could you let me know which address did you use to send your documents to Sheffield specifically from Pakistan?

Also, should I include a letter explaining what has happened?

Any quick advice from anyone would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Relax. It's a new system for applications submitted in Pakistan. Your documents will have been scanned in Sheffield and the originals returned to you within a few days.
We've had several members query this recently.

Ok that is a relief, thank you! Although I am super impressed if they have done all scanning (over 100 pages at least plus photocopies) in 2 days and returned. Does this sound normal to you?

Also, should I have received a letter or some sort of acknowledgement to say "here are your originals back.. just so I have a proof these have been received? or again is this normal and UKVI don't bother?

Lastly, how do I track the progress of this application? I heard there is a web portal that you can use and track progress?

Thank you for your prompt reply, really appreciate it.

I'm afraid I can't help with the tracking (although others should be able to), but I can confirm that whoever is responsible for scanning the documents doesn't seem have the courtesy or the forethought to advise that this has taken place.

Other members have reported being just as confused as you, on receiving a package with no explanation enclosed.

ok thanks again Casa,

Anyone else with a similar experience about supporting documents, could you kindly share with us?

Also, anyone know how to check progress of an existing application?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Leo.Leo

Did you use standard or priority service?

Also, after how many days did you receive your original documents back? Thanks

They likely didn't even look at most of what you submitted and probably only scanned the important bits, if any.

This is precisely my point! The entire process is ambiguous - apart from the brief official guidelines on the FM appendixes etc - its a very subjective process ... what constitutes as "important" what is seen as "sufficient" evidence for a "genuine and subsisting" relationship? Its a mixture of common sense, pinned down my legal guide lines open to interpretation.

There is no specific formulation - massive inconsistencies hence forums like this people with heightened anxieties where people are seeking reassurances.

hi there,
I applied a spouse visa from Pakistan online on 26-11-16 on priority visa service and completed my biometric on 28-11-16.
my husband sent all supporting documents to home office in Sheffield on 7-12-16,which he received back within two days on 9-12-16,including financial form and online application form signed by me .
my quires are
(1) we have not received any acknowledgement through email yet ?
(2)the documents were returned that quick which was worrying and why does it include all original forms ,I guess home office is supposed to keep them
(3)I am worried that my husband has used the wrong address because there are so many different addresses for Sheffield home office the address he used was
UK Visas and Immigration International
Po Box 5852
SHEFFIELD
S11 0FX
is this the right address please help me
and aslo sadat what happened to your case because mine is very similar to you ?
thanks
