...and even with the JCAP scheme the passport is only issued after the ceremony.CR001 wrote:1. No. The process to change councils will take longer than waiting for the ceremony as certificate has to be sent back to HO and you have to request the change before certificate can then be sent to another council. Book a private ceremony if they have available.
2. No you can't. Yoy will have to wat till after your ceremony.The people that have applied for passports before their ceremony have applied using the joint citizenship and passport scheme at NHS.
Thanks, however please see below as it is from one of the post in MAY timelinesnoajthan wrote:1) Not sure. Ask council or book private ceremony.
2) No. Only citizens may apply for privilege of passport;
you are not British 'until the fat lady sings' (at the ceremony).
1. Usually, this needs to be specified at the time of application. Form AN clearly states in one of the questions that the ceremony is held at you local council and if you wish to have it held elsewhere, to state it on the form. Unless you mentioned it to be held elsewhere on the form at the time of application, it may be a long procedure to change it now.foundpokemon2016 wrote:Hi
I have just received my approval letter from HO comnfirming my successful Naturalisation application.
But I am confused with the next steps as my council havent got dates for a ceremony until end of next month.
1. Can I apply for ceremony from a different council?
2. Can I apply for passports before my ceremony? As I can see from the forum most of them applied for passports before approval. But I cant find clear details any where how to apply. can anyone please suggect me here
