Hello, I have received an email on the 24th August 2016 saying this
"Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible. "
Could you possibly tell me what does it mean? And if the British embassy are going to make a phone call to confirm details will it be to the sponsor or the applicant?

It is a standard email, many people get it. It means HO can't process your application within the published time frame.

Isn't there an ideal timing as to whether I will get a response back? It will be 60 working days tomorrow. Does that mean I need to wait around another 30 working days for a response or will it be quicker?

Well that is what the email is saying, that your application will take longer than their published time frames. All you an do is wait.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Has anyone received an update yet? It has been 80 working days for me and I've not heard back from the immigration office. How long has it been for you? And if you do hear anything do let us know.

I had a phone call on the 5th October confirming where I work. The call lasted me 15 minutes and since then I've not heard back. Today it's been 92 working days.
