Spouse Visa for ILR sponsor - Pakistan

Post by asad432 » Fri Aug 26, 2016 2:12 am

Hello everyone,

I hope someone can help me out and clarify my doubts please.

I have just got my ILR and wish to call my wife from Pakistan. We married 2 months ago. I have a few questions:

- what documents will she need to submit at VAC in karachi? (will she submit her Naric and TB test certificate and her visa application form?)
- what supporting documents will I have to send to Sheffield?
- Can she not include my supporting documents as a part of her documents she will submit at VAC in karachi so I don't have to send from here?
- also is the appendix 2 form mandatory and will she include it as a part of her docs or will I have to send that?

I hope someone can help me out please with the above as soon as possible please.

Thanks in advance.

Have you read Appendix FM-SE?

Hi vinny,

Thanks, that is quite helpful in terms of the documents. However still does not clarify what she has to give in the visa application centre and what I am supposed to (if it's a requirement?) to Sheffield?

Please shed some light on that if possible as the process is slightly different if my wife is applying from pakistan.

Regards,
Asad

Casa and others,

Just another quick question if you can help please?

regarding English language equivalency, I am going via the naric route. now naric provides a statement of comparability and english language assessment. i have applied for statement of comparability but not english language assessment.

do you believe this is necessary? the guidance says:
"Alternatively, you can give evidence that you have an academic qualification that both:

was taught or researched in English
is recognised by UK NARIC as equivalent to a bachelor’s or master’s degree or PhD"

https://www.gov.uk/join-family-in-uk/kn ... of-english

I have got a letter from the university confirming the degree was taught in english. Do you think this is sufficient?

Thanks in advance
