Visa for Child born overseas

Post by bsr1004 » Tue Aug 30, 2016 12:14 pm

Hi, can anyone help me or point me into the right direction please?

I am an Australian citizen & UK ILR holder.
My husband is an EU citizen & awaiting his UK permanent residency. We live in UK.
I plan to deliver my baby overseas to get some help from my parents and want to return to UK when baby becomes 3 months old.

I want to understand what type of visa is required for my baby when we come to UK.
Baby's citizenship is not confirmed yet and I am trying to find out what we can get for her.

Scenario 1) Baby gets an Australian citizen
or
Scenario 2) Baby gets an EU citizen

Thank you.

Baby can get both Australian and EU.

If baby is born in the UK, baby will be automatically British and can apply directly for a passport and will also be EU and Australian.
