Hello,
I'm looking to apply for the 10 year long residence indefinite leave to remain next year. At the time of application, these are the visas I will have held whilst living in the UK for 10 years:
Student visa - 7 years 2 months
Unmarried partner visa - 2 years 2 months
Exceptional promise visa - 9 months
I'm Australian, and a friend told me that as a Canadian she can't count the student visa towards her 10 years. I can't find anything about this online, and wondered if anyone knew anything about it? It seems that you can be on ANY legal visas over the 10 year period. Please let me know if you think I'll be eligible for the 10 years long residence route. Thanks!
