UK Visa Advice for Sister of Non-EU

Post by MrDuck1984 » Wed Sep 07, 2016 1:36 am

Hello All,

I hope you're all doing very well and looking forward to the weekend. I really hope some of you lovely people can offer some advice.

My wife and I are living in the UK (I am a British citizen from birth), my wife is from Philippines. We applied under the Surrinder singh route as we were living in Brussels for 6 years. Have 2 children with British passports. My wife has residence card and employed.

We would really like to bring her sister here to the UK permanently. The sister is Philippines nationality and currently living and working in Dubai. I've done my research and it appears it seems to be quite difficult for her to come here permanently. There are not really any compassionate circumstances, and I dont think she has a "skilled" job... Although, the sister has a degree.

Would anyone have any advice for routes to look at? As my wife is very lonely here. I explored most options and it appears the only route is a standard tourist visa for 6 months with multiple entry. One company suggested to apply for 6 months and come and go many times, to show she leaves the UK when she is meant to... It might support any application for a work visa. I see other options for compassion, but I dont think the circumstances would qualify for that. Just wondered if anyone had any other thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks,
Dan

Tourist visa has nothing get to do with qualifying for a work visa.

There is no route that she can live in UK unless she find a work visa sponsor.

Had the sister done surinder Singh with you and your family she might have had a chance.
