Tier 2 ICT Long Term Staff Visa to Tier2 ICT Dependent visa

Hi,

I am working in UK on Tier 2 ICT Long Term visa for last 4.5 years and my visa is due for expiry in next 4 months (Visa Valid till Jan 2017). After that I have to leave the country. My wife is also working in UK for last 3 years with the same employer and is on her own Tier 2 ICT Long Term Visa from the same employer.

Can I change my visa to my wife's dependent visa in the country? Or Do I need to go back to my home country and apply? Is it legally allowed to shift from Tier 2 ICT Long Term Visa to dependent of another Tier 2 ICT long term ? Please clarify.
