Missing proof of continued communication for first year

Hi all

Due to laptop/phone upgrades over the years we have realised we are missing first year of communication on ways we have kept in touch. Skype/Chat app. We no longer have these devices so are unable to recover that data and we both didn't communicate on FB/Email at all.

Would it be a big issue if we only have the last 2 years? Can we simply explain that in covering note?

Is this for an extension on FLR(M) or a new spouse entry clearance visa?

HO is not looking for years and years of subsisting marriage evidence. Last two years is fine, no need for a letter.
