FLR (M) Financial requirement query

Post by Loubou15 » Wed Sep 14, 2016 6:57 pm

Good evening,

My husband is currently here on a spouse visa and we are due to apply for further leave to remain. I am looking for advise about my ability to meet the financial requirement alone.

My situation is as follows -

I have been employed by my current employer for 2 years. I was originally receiving a salary of 18,500gbp but in May 2016, received a pay rise, back dated to January 2016 so now my salary is above 18,600gbp. We have our appointment booked for 15th October so I am just looking for clarification that, given that I was back paid from January, UKVI will accept my salary as being over 18,600 from January and not May when I actually received my pay rise.

My employer will provide me with a letter stating that I have been on the higher salary from January 2016.

If they will not accept this, I have a further question -
My husband is currently in non-salaried employment, so jointly, we more than meet the requirement. How do I enter both my salaried and my Husband's non-salaried employment on the application form? I can only see space to enter income form salaried employment.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

You need to prove income for the last 6 months prior to applying. Docs should be fine. Joint income can be used.

Thank you for your quick reply. So the back-dated pay shouldn't be an issue if my employer states I've been earning the higher salary since January 2016?

I think I will put down our joint income anyway, just to be on the safe side.

Thanks,

Laura x
