Premium service centre and processing

Hi all,

My Spouse/Partner Leave Remain expires 29/01/2017.
I need to leave for Australia for work by the 04/01/2017. I read somewhere that you need to reapply within 28 days of expiry.
Presuming this is correct would the Premium service centre Croydon open on Monday the 2nd of January?
Also if I am approved on the day like I was the first time I applied, am I able to leave the country before I get my new card?

Monday 2nd January is a bank holiday, so no, they won't be open.

You can leave before you get your new card, but how will you re-enter the UK??
