Biometric at PEO?

Post by tbbcuk » Fri Sep 23, 2016 10:25 pm

May I ask, if my wife extend her spouse visa at PEO, then she wont need to do her biometric in post office?

If she has already done it, will that cause problem? or they will re-do that at PEO?

It doesn't matter if she's done it before, she will have her bio-metrics done same day at the PEO.

thank you for your reply Choc-Ice

May I also ask, in Question 9.1 of FLR(M), ask: Have you been issued with a Biometric residence permit with a previous application for leave? (then enter its detail)

This biometric is done for FLR (M) but none was issued from 'previous' entry clearance of spouse visa. So there will be no space for you to enter the biometric that newly done?

Biometric and Biometric residence permit are different things. If her visa in in her passport, the she DOES not have a Biometric residence permit (card) but she has done her biometrics (fingerprinta/phot) for her original visa application.

Thank you for the reply, i am a bit confuse indeed! My wife is planing to have it done as said in FLR(M) requirement, but the one post office offered is called BRP, and the form only ask to fill in if you have already had one in previous visa (which she doesnt) . So where to fill the new biometric detail on FLR?

9.1 She answers NO. She DOES NOT have a BRP (Biometric residence permit). The Post biometric enrollment (not BRP) is for visa extension POSTAL applications. If she is applying in person, her biometrics will be taken on the day (fingerprints and photo).

If you answer NO to 9.1, then you go to 9.12 and complete the details of when she had her biometrics taken when she applied for her spouse entry clearance visa.

Thank you CR001 for the explanation, i got both mixed up!

So final question if dont mind me asking! For postal application flr(M) , the bio enrolmemt is actually done after the invite is sent fome home office, ie. after you send off the application, but not 'before', am i correct?

Yes, HO will write to her and then she goes to the Post Office to enroll biometrics. There is a fee for this (£19-50)
