Tier 2 General Travel period

Post by Raj_20163326 » Tue Sep 27, 2016 11:52 am

Hi,

I am currently in UK sponsored and employed by a UK based firm. My job requires more travelling out of UK. Could you please help me how may days in an year I can stay outside UK on business purposes and how many days in an year I can stay out of UK for personal trips.
As there are more business trips, I am a bit concerned to use my holiday to visit my home country, as worried about the number of days will exceed. This is all in view of eligibility for ILR.

For example, this year I had to stay 60-70 days outside the country and I have my personal vacation planned for 35 days. So in this situation there is a total of 100-110 days outside UK. Will it be fine as my business travel is justified by my employer.

Please kindly advise if there is any supporting official document which states about the number of days allowed outside UK.
Thanks in advance.

Raj

You are allowed a total of 180 days per 12 month cycle. This includes business and personal absences.
